Gallery
Navigation, selection, and working with the photo grid.
Selection
- Click — select one photo
- ⇧ + click — select a range
- ⌘ + click — add or remove from selection
- ⌘A — select all
Saving and loading selection
⌘⇧S — save the list of selected files as a .txt (a system dialog will open). Color labels are saved along with file names.
⌘⇧L — load a list from a file. PhotoWorker will find matches by name in the current folder, select them, and restore color labels.
Thumbnail size
Four sizes: S, M, L, XL. Switch in the toolbar or with ⌘+ / ⌘−.
Quick check
- ⌥ + click and hold — instant 1:1 zoom next to the thumbnail, without entering the viewer (Quick Zoom)
- Hold ⌘ — temporarily show face bounding boxes directly on the photo
Subfolders and grouping
PhotoWorker opens only the selected folder. The "Show all subfolders" toggle is visible on the tab when subfolders contain images or recursive mode is already enabled — turn it on to load photos from all subfolders.
With subfolders enabled, you can group photos by folder. Press ⌘⇧D to open the Folder filter: a list of all subfolders with checkboxes and photo counts. Uncheck the ones you don't need — their photos will be hidden from the gallery. Includes a search field, Select all / Deselect all buttons.
Drag & Drop
Drag photos onto another tab — files will be copied or moved to that tab's folder. If names conflict — choose: replace, skip, or rename.
Dragging within the gallery changes the manual photo order (the Arrangement sort order).
RAW+JPEG
⌘J — merge RAW and JPEG with the same name into a single card. When the camera writes both formats, this removes duplicates from the gallery. Press again to unmerge.
Automatic refresh
PhotoWorker watches the folder in real time. If you add new files (for example, during tethering) — they appear in the gallery automatically.
